Monty Don
Monty don, born in west Berlin to British parents in July 1955. He is a well-known TV presenter best known for presenting gardener’s world. Don's first TV work came as the presenter of a gardening segment on breakfast show This Morning. He featured as a guest presenter for the BBC's Holiday programme. From 1994 to 1995 he appeared from time to time as one of the presenters for the weekly science programme Tomorrow's World on BBC One. Don was the main presenter on BBC Two's Gardeners' World from 2003 to 2008 succeeding Alan Titchmarsh. He was the first self-taught horticulturist presenter in the show's 36-year history, stepping down only after suffering a minor stroke. Monty Don is very passionate about his garden which is why when he presents gardeners world from his own garden, “I realise that I cannot separate my passion for gardening from my passion for this garden”. He also has his own series called Italian gardens and several great books regarding gardening so if you’re into gardening I would strongly recommend them.
